由于教育导向、传统影响和教师个人教学理念等多方面原因,致使初中英语教学往往更强调提高学生学习成绩和全班教学活动的整齐划一等外在指标,在一定程度上忽视了学生自身个性、在学习上的主观能动性和创造力的发挥以及学生语言交际能力的培养,直接影响到整个初中阶段英语教学的质量和学生今后英语学习的可持续发展,所以,一套能够真正适应初中学生特点和有助于提高学生综合素质的初中英语教学方法亟待改革和出现。
