图书馆开展知识服务已经成为广大有识之士的共识,是各类文献情报机构“十二五”规划建设的主要任务。2007年以来,专业图书馆分会就以“图书馆的知识服务”为主题连续组织学术年会,全面系统地组织探讨图书情报机构开展知识服务的实践与研究,得到了专业图书馆乃至公共、高校等系统图情机构的积极响应。
