铜是国民经济发展的重要原材料。到2000年,全国形成采选产铜能力50万吨,粗铜冶炼能力105万吨,电解铜冶炼能力170万吨。现已形成包括矿山、冶炼、地质勘探、设计研究等完整的铜工业生产建设体系。据国家统计局资料,2000年全部国有及销售收入在500万元以上的非国有有色金属工业企业共有1700家,其中铜采选企业111家,冶炼企业181家。
Copper is an important raw material for the development of the national economy. By 2000, the country has formed a capacity of mining and selection of 500,000 tons of copper, 1,050,000 tons of crude copper smelting capacity and 1.7 million tons of electrolytic copper smelting capacity.
