1999年6月5日,国务院批复北京市政府和科学技术部《关于加快建设中关村科技园区的请示》。中关村作为中国高新技术的火车头,在新千年到来之时“全线提速”。 1988年在“电子一条街”基础上,创建了我国第一个国家级新技术产业开发试验区。11年后,在迎接知识经济的挑战中担任“中国队”的“领跑”,历史两次选择中关村,与她得天独厚的人才资源有密切关系。 中关村是我国智力最密集、人才最集中的地区。在中关村方圆百里的土地上,聚集着清华、北大等73所高等院校,拥有以中科院为首的232家科研机构,另有280多个博士点,700多个硕士点,60个国家重点实验室和工程研究中心。
June 5, 1999, the State Council approved the Beijing Municipal Government and the Ministry of Science and Technology “on accelerating the construction of Zhongguancun Science Park request.” As a locomotive of high-tech in China, Zhongguancun “speed up across the board” when the new millennium is approaching. On the basis of “Electronic One Street” in 1988, China created the first national-level new technology industrial development pilot area. Zhongguancun is the most densely populated area in China with the most concentrated talent.
