Quinn has advocated a kind of behaviorism from an early age, but this kind of behaviorism must be understood by analyzing the concepts of language, sensory material, stimulation and stimulation. For Quinn, the issue of language comprehension and translation concentrates on the intersection of these concepts. Language is a social skill. In order to acquire such a skill, we can not but rely entirely on signals common to subjects that prompt us what we want to say and when we say it. Apart from the obvious tendency of people to react to the stimuli visible in social communication, we can not check the meaning of the language on any basis. Quinn argues that from simple communication to complex understanding, it shows that the interaction between theory and meaning is more and more universal. What we directly perceive are all kinds of structures that are always constructed in a meaningful way. Only when they are jointly recognized Knowledge and understanding can be seen as evidence of behavior. Individuality is not the starting point of cognition, we must be based on the unity of the community to give individualized confirmation.
