如果你以平常意义上的沙漠来猜度索诺兰,只能想起沙海、仙人掌、兀鹰,一派的荒凉寂寞……那眼前的情景一定会让你大吃一惊。索诺兰沙漠是北美洲大沙漠之一,也是最炎热的沙漠,分布在美国和墨西哥,总面积26万平方千米。由于毗邻加利福尼亚海湾和太平洋,这里每年都能有夏冬两个雨季,降雨量可达120~130毫米,远远高于其他沙漠。得天独厚的自然条件,使得这里一反干燥的沙漠常态,竟然呈现出一派热闹的生命奇景。这里有四季的界限,景象并非常年如一。
