Since the first X-ray was taken more than a century ago, snooping inside the body has become one of the central tasks in medical development. With the progress of accurate medical imaging technology, a new vision for biomedical research is expected to lead to more accurate diagnosis and treatment. The improvement of observation tools has promoted the development of science. With the advent of telescopes, astronomers can come up with planetary motion and gravitational theory based on collected astronomical data. In the meantime, we are witnessing astounding advances in medical imaging that unlock many of the mysteries between biology and disease. This section focuses on medical imaging technology in two aspects: the development of the technology itself and the application of imaging in medicine.
