1 INTRODUCTION AND SYSTEM CONCEPT Automotive bumper radar has been studied for many years [1,2], but experiments show that the false alarm rate of these systems is too high. One of the reasons is the lack of angle resolution. It seems, it is also necessary for the car system to find the target level position.
