The effect of different sulfur compounds on the anodic dissolution behavior of ferritic stainless steel and austenitic stainless steel in 0.5 mol / LH 2 SO 4 solution was studied. The results show that the compounds containing sulfur atoms with lone pairs of electrons catalyze the anodic dissolution of stainless steel. However, the catalytic ability of different sulfur compounds is not the same, for inorganic sulfur compounds, Na2S2O3, H2S, KSCN strong catalytic ability, and Na2SO3 catalytic capacity is weak.
