随着社会的与时俱进,英语成了世界上运用范围最广的语言,这就说明英语在当今社会发展中的重要性。传统的初中英语教学讲求的就只有听、说、读、写的基本教学,从而忽视了学生在课堂中的主体作用。因此在改革初中英语教学中,就要培养学生学习潜能,将被动学习改为主动学习。兴趣是学习一切事物的最大动力,教师通过各种有效的途径去改变传统课堂,丰富教学手段,培养学生学习兴趣,从而调动学生学习英语的积极性和热情,来激发学生学习潜能,提高英语教学水平和英语学习质量。
