This paper reviews the literature about acrylic resin and its allergy and chemical damage, and discusses the relationship between the acrylic resin prosthesis and the oral cavity response and lesions, and puts forward various possible causes and evaluation methods. Cases of mucosal infections and mucosal diseases (which may resemble acrylic resin allergy) and cases of oral mucosal chemical damage caused by self-healing methods.
