利用从国外引进的17份和本所的65份番茄育种材料,经田间观察和人工接种鉴定,筛选出5份抗枯萎病的一代杂种,并经系谱法选择,选出121和128优良抗病砧木,经多代抗病性人工接种鉴定和嫁接苗接种比较,表现亲和力好,高抗枯萎病(病情指数为0),同时兼抗青枯病(发病率16.67%~23.08%,对照为68.42%)。用以上砧木与不同品种嫁接,嫁接苗均表现抗病、丰产,增产率达18.95%~50%,品质也有所提高。
