In a considerable period of time before the 90s of last century, Japanese cinema had been in the post-Kuroshitsu-ming era with few famous works in the movie industry. During this period, the Japanese cinema was basically in a vacuum. And into the 90’s, Japanese films clearly began to recover, in addition to Imam Chang-bing, Shoichi Kiigai, Shinoda Shinoda and other older directors continue to have masterpieces come out, a new generation of film directors began to show their heads. Among the new generation of directors, the most striking ones are undoubtedly the vanguard of some new film movements such as Kitano Takeshi, Iwai Shunji, Chou Fangzheng, Takenaka and others. Among these people, Iwai Junji, deeply admired by young people with his fresh, unique and poetic movie features, set off a world-wide “Iwai Sobyo.”
