张作霖在北京曾购置多处公、私房产,如西城太平桥的大帅府(顺承郡王府)、黄寺的东北讲武堂北京分校、新街口的东北大学、王大人胡同(今北新桥三条)的东北军驻京办事处,其它诸如天津公馆、北戴河别墅,等等。但传说张学良在北京翠花街5号为赵一荻购置的一所宅寓,却言之无据,包括张学良晚年自己的口述及各种人士的回忆史料,均付阙如。虽然,北京西城区将翠花街5号定为区级保护文物,但亦未标示为张学良、赵一荻旧居,只有附近百姓如是传说。

However, it is fair to say that Zhang Xueliang purchased a house for Zhao Yi Di at No. 5 Cuihua Street in Beijing, but there is no evidence that Zhang Xueliang included his oral and historical memories of various people in his later years. Although No. 5 Cuihua Street in Beijing’s Xicheng District is designated as a district-level cultural relic, it has not been marked as Chang Hsueh-liang and Zhao Yi Di’s former residence, but only people in the neighborhood are legendary.
