Friends of Taiwan described 2014 as a "black" year,but in my opinion turbulence would better encapsulate last year's global strategic situation.If 2013 can be characterized as "calm" 1,then 2014 was a year of confusion and disorder. Widespread Dislocation The chaos of 2014 is firstly reflected in the depressed state of the world's economy.In late 2013 and early 2014,western economists argued that the global economy was finally emerging from the crisis and starting to stabilize.They were generally optimistic about the outlook for 2014.
