海南特区的市场经济与其他经济特区一样,具有起步早、发展快、规模大的特点,已形成了社会主义市场经济的基本框架.市场经济的发展,给法院的经济审判工作带来许多新情况、新问题.主要表现为:一是经济纠纷案件比重大,经济审判任务越来越重.随着社会主义市场经济的发展,在经济活动中发生的纠纷也相应增多.海口市两级法院自1991年6月8日成立以来,共受理各类一审案件4477件,其中经济纠纷案件有1903件,占43%.二是案件涉及的范围越来越广,新类型案件不断出现.案件适用的法律规范越来越复杂.三是一些调整市场经济的重要法律、法规尚不健全,审理经济纠纷案件特别是新类型案件的难度较大.
