Recently, the U.S. Department of Commerce released the first half of 2009 trade data, the U.S. rubber trade deficit dropped significantly. In the first half of the year, the U.S. rubber trade deficit dropped 27.4% to 2.82 billion U.S. dollars. Exports dropped 19.1% over the same period of the previous year to 3.08 billion U.S. dollars. Imports dropped 23.3% over the same period of last year to 5.89 billion U.S. dollars. June U.S. rubber trade deficit was 474.8 million U.S. dollars, down from the same period in 2008
