《弗兰肯斯坦》被誉为世界上第一部科幻小说。它的作者是玛丽·雪莱,小说讲述了科学家维克多·弗兰肯斯坦人造人的故事。前人关于此书的研究主要集中在悲剧理论、叙事技巧以及生态批评上,关于小说中体现的人文主义相对要少。本文主要包括两部分,第一部分介绍人文主义,第二部分分析小说的主人公:怪物和创造者·弗兰肯斯坦这两个角色。通过细读文本,以期挖掘出他们二者体现的人文主义精神和作者玛丽·雪莱的人文关怀。
Frankenstein is hailed as the world’s first science-fiction novel. Its author, Marie Shelley, tells the story of a scientist Victor Frankenstein. The predecessors’ research on this book mainly focuses on the theories of tragedy, narrative techniques and ecocriticism, but relatively few of the humanism embodied in the novel. This article mainly consists of two parts, the first part introduces humanism, the second part analyzes the protagonist of the novel: monster and creator Frankenstein these two roles. Through careful reading of the text, with a view to dig out the spirit of humanism and the humanistic concern of the author Mary Shelley.
