3月6日,省政府召开全省水利与三防工作电视电话会议。会议贯彻中央和省委、省政府的决策部署,总结2013年我省水利和三防工作,部署今年工作任务。副省长、省防总总指挥邓海光出席会议并讲话。会议充分肯定了过去一年我省水利与三防工作取得的突出成绩。会议指出,去年我省遭受了大范围的台风暴雨洪涝灾害,全省三防水利系统在省委、省政府正确领导下,尽职尽责,积极应对,将灾害损失降到了最低程度。同时,全省水利设施建设、水生态文明建设和水利系统自身建设等各项工作都取得很好成绩,有力保障了全省防洪安全、供水安全、水生态安全,为我省经济社会持续健康发展提供了有力保障。2014年,各级水利部门要深入贯彻落实党的十八届三中全会、全国水利厅局长会议、全国防汛抗旱工作会议和省委十一届三次全会精神,不断深化水利改革,突出抓好民生水利工程建设,着力促进水资源合理开发利用,大力推动粤东西北地区水利加快发展和珠三角地区率先实现水利现代化,为我省实现“三个定位、两个率先”的总目标提供更加强有力的水利支撑。
