贵州三都水族是我国一个历史悠久的民族,有着自己灿烂的文化。马尾绣是水族独有的绝活,以马尾线和丝线作为主要原材料而制作的一种特俗刺绣品,它是水族妇女们对生活中的物象进行抽象化和意象化的产物,其制作工艺独特,图案造型精美,内容丰富多彩。在2006年马尾绣被列入国家第一批非物质文化遗产名录后受到各学术界的关注,水族马尾绣图案具有不可限量的艺术价值。为了进一步研究水族马尾绣图案的传承,以及在现代设计境遇中的应用,作者提出水族马尾绣图案元素再创造的迫切性、必要性和在具体设计应用的方法,希望能对马尾绣图案的传承与发展,以及构建民族化特色的艺术设计贡献微薄之力。
