Eosinophilic gastroenteritis (EG) is a rare gastrointestinal disorder characterized by diffuse or localized eosinophilic (Eos) infiltrates in certain parts of the gastrointestinal tract. The stomach and the small intestine are the most frequently affected parts and can occur at any age. The predilection age is 30 to 50 years old, rare in childhood, and the incidence in males is higher than in females. Because many EG patients are mistaken
