据了解,陕西日报社在1994年新闻改革中取得的重要突破之一,是创办了一张以新闻照片为主的《陕西日报·社会大视角》副刊,充分体现了新闻界喊了多年的“文图并重,两翼齐飞”的办报思想,为增强党报的思想性和可读性,乃至可视性,找到了一条新路子。作为全国省级党报中唯一的一张以新闻照片为主的副刊,《社会大视角》已崭露头角,受到读者的欢迎和新闻界的广泛赞誉。《人民日报》总编辑范敬宜说它“琳琅满目,多姿多采,是实现文图并重的一个突破,是新闻改革中的一个新事物”。1994年11月下旬,陕西日报社举行《社会大视角》专题研讨会,80多人莅会,40多人发言。他们对这张副刊给予充分肯定,并提了很多宝贵意见和建议。本刊特发表刘荣惠同志的讲话和尹维祖同志的发言,以资交流信息,并希望能得到新闻界的进一步关注和评论。
