我的老师张充仁先生享有中国当代雕塑第一奠基人的美誉。齐白石先生称他为“泥塑之神手也”。他的作品功力深厚,超凡脱俗,形式出新,风格典雅,塑造的人物形象完美,不仅形似,而且神似。他的雕塑、油画、水彩对中国近代美术史有着开辟性的影响,其雕塑更是在国际世界著称。世界上法语国家的人们都说“TCHANG”是代表中国人形象的一个名字。他将中国近代雕塑带进了国际领域,在法国,他与罗丹、毕加索一样受到人们敬仰。
My teacher, Mr. Zhang Chongren, enjoys the reputation of being the number one founder of contemporary Chinese sculpture. Mr. Qi Baishi called him “the god of clay sculpture”.
