O Morgado1872 Located in Porto, Portugal, Here is an important fishing port of cod. This 6-storey building dates back to the 18th century. After the Medieval defensive walls lost their military significance, the government’s appropriation turned to support civilian buildings, and housing and stores began to rise. The original structure of the 1872 Riverside Hotel was built on that background. The decorative balconies preserved by the building show its ancient identity, and some historians even think the building is older, resulting in the name “1872”.
