白圆茄系哲盟农研所于1971～1974年从开鲁圆茄的变异株系中选出的优良品种。株高85厘米,株幅70厘米,生长势较强,叶片中等大而肥厚,茎叶绿色。主茎第七节上着生第一花。果实圆球形,果皮淡绿色,有光泽。单果平均重0.5～0.7公斤,最大为1.05公斤。果肉白色致密细嫩,品质佳,食味好。
