1999年,广西3万多名干部在全区干部制度改革中接受了“洗礼”。其中,有1000多名拟提拔重用的委任制干部“公示”于众,结果有3名处级干部和11名科级干部因群众反映确有问题而未予任命。公开选拔、竞争上岗成为广大干部群众关注的热点。全区共拿出987个处科级职位进行公开选拔,拿出5407个处科级职位开展竞争上岗,结果有5947人由此走上了领导岗位,从而打破了“论资排辈”的旧框框。
In 1999, more than 30,000 cadres in Guangxi accepted the “baptism” in the reform of the cadre system throughout the region. Among them, there are more than 1,000 appointed cadres who are going to be promoted and reused. As a result, three ministerial-level cadres and 11 department-level cadres have not been appointed because the masses reflect the actual problems.
