抽运耦合器是高功率光纤激光器的关键无源光器件,可以将多路抽运光高效率地耦合进双包层光纤中,从而为光纤激光器提供所需的抽运功率,所以抽运耦合器是研制高功率光纤激光器首先要解决的问题。采用氢氧焰熔接方法,研制了一种高功率侧面抽运耦合器,在最大抽运功率为100 W时,耦合效率94%,信号光插入损耗0.15 d B,附加损耗0.2 d B,主光纤分光比99%,方向性22.5 d B。利用该耦合器搭建了百瓦级光纤激光器,当总抽运功率为185 W时,在1080 nm处获得的激光输出为103 W,光-光转换效率为56%。该高功率侧面抽运耦合器可用于输出功率为百瓦级和千瓦级的高功率光纤激光器。
