The McArthur River deposit is one of the world’s finest grain-embedded complex lead-zinc ores. The deposit is located in the northern part of Australia with a geological reserve of 227 million t containing 9.2% Zn, 4.1% Pb and 40 g Ag / g Ag. Since it is difficult to produce separate zinc concentrates and lead concentrates with high recoveries, the beneficiation aims to produce lead-zinc concentrate. The main factors studied in the flotation tests are the degree of grinding, the amount of aeration and the agitation intensity. The ore is very finely ground, reaching K_80 = 7.5μm. It has been found that a large amount of aeration and agitation strength results in higher zinc grade and recovery in the concentrate.
