目前,钢制围栏及院大门等均采用圆钢、角钢、扁钢、方钢和钢管等成品材料焊制成,其造价均比较高。要便于制作,又要达到一定的艺术效果,造价又要较低,则是一件很难的事。然而,在建筑工程的钢筋砼或钢结构工程施工时,钢筋成型及钢结构下料时的短料均当成了废品,全部卖给废品收购站了,这部分材料没有被充分发挥作用。如何把这部分短料充分地用起来了我们在进行围栏施工时对原设计采用18mm×18mm方钢建议改成由φ12～φ16圆钢筋的短料头制作,焊制成形如图1所示的砌毛石图围栏。该围栏制成之后经核算降低造价达60％,而且制作时也比原设计容易,所获得的艺术效果比较好。
