中国共产党党员唐月萱同志,1911年3月出生于安徽省泾县唐村.1934年在青岛大学读完英语专业本科二年级后,考入武昌文华图书馆学专科学校,1936年毕业,被分配到上海医学院图书馆工作.后调入大连医学院图书馆工作.并先后任大连医学院和遵义医学院图书馆主任、高教四级英语副教授、中国图书馆学会第一届理事、贵州省图书馆学会常务副理事长、大连医科大学图书馆馆长、研究馆员、校专家咨询委员.半个世纪以来,唐馆长先后创建了三座图书馆,为我国医学图书馆事业作出了巨大贡献.1. 1949～1969年时期1949年10月,唐老应聘自沪来大连,创建大连医学院图书馆.她的建馆宗旨是:建立完善、适用、专业对口的藏书体系和一检即得的目录体系.她熟悉基础和临床医学的代表性书刊和国内外著名生物医学家,建立了中、西、日、俄的题名、责任者和分类三套目录.因此,由她选择的书刊,深受广大读者的欢迎.唐老精通英语,又先后掌握了德、法、日、俄四种外语.她优选的这五种外文书刊.满足了教学、医疗和科研的需要.抗美援朝时期.美帝国主义发动了细菌战.中央下令全国总动员,开展反对细菌战、化学战和核战争的群众性爱国卫生运动.我校作为医疗卫生机构,站在“三防”第一
