2004年,中央召开了“全国加强和改进未成年人思想道德建设工作会议”,胡锦涛总书记在会上做了重要讲话, 他指出:“未成年人是祖国未来的建设者,是中国特色社会主义事业的接班人。未成年人的思想道德建设,关系到中华民族的兴衰,关系到国家的前途和民族的命运。进一步加强和改进未成年人思想道德建设,对于确保我国在激烈的国际竞争中始终立于不败之地,确保实现全面建设小康社会,进而实现现代化的宏伟目标,确保中国特色社会主义事业兴旺发达、后继有人,确保中华民族的伟大复兴,具有重大而深远的意义。”会议还下发了《中共中央国务院关于进一步加强和改进未成年人思想道德建设的若干意见》。学习胡锦涛总书记讲话精神和《若干意见》,我们认识到,加强和改进未成年人的思想道德建设,是坚持科学发展观、实现可持发展的需要,是全党全社会的共同任务。博物馆作为思想教育和文化传播的重要阵地,对于加强和改进未成年人思想道德建设不仅是责无旁贷、而且是大有可为的。

It is a common task of all party members and society as a whole. As an important front for ideological education and cultural transmission, museums are not only duty-bound but also promising for strengthening and improving the ideological and moral construction of minors.
