由浙江省农业科学院主持,中国农业科学院土壤肥料研究所、茶叶研究所、南京农业大学、江西红壤研究所和云南、贵州省农业科学院共同承担的农业部“七五”重点课题《南方红(黄)壤区域农业研究》于1990年11月在杭州同时通过验收和鉴定。该课题基本探明了江南丘陵红壤和云贵高原红(黄)壤的水分特征及其周年变化规律,提出了以覆盖、耕作为中心的7项抗旱保墒技术措施;同时还研究提出了等高耕作、水平浅沟、沟坑相连的水土资源保护措施。
