In 1987, BBC Television invited choreographer Gillian Lynn to create a drama for the centenary of the famous British painter Laurence Lowry. She and best-performing composer Carl Davis, together with the Manchester Northern Ballet, and the BBC’s senior director and cameraman, portrayed the human story of the human being based on the works and life of Laurence Lowry.
