反思一九八九年春夏之交发生的动乱和反革命暴乱,我们清醒地认识到,近几年来,在片面强调智育和追求升学率的影响下,我们的中小学向高一级学校输送的一批“高分低德”的学生,是导致这场风波发生的一个不容忽视的因素。动乱的现象发生在高校,原因之一是由于我们基础教育的德育工作没有摆到正确的位置上。所以,我们认为,切实加强中小学德育工作有着十分重要的意义。

One of the reasons for the unrest in universities is that the moral education in our basic education is not put in the right place. Therefore, we think it is of great significance to strengthen moral education in primary and secondary schools.
