Two kinds of mechanism of aggregate failure in high-strength concrete are put forward, and the two mechanisms are analyzed from the viewpoint of energy. The volume fraction of aggregate and the fracture energy of aggregate are calculated, and the number of acoustic emission events at the time of failure of concrete is measured. Fracture mechanics parameters and the number of acoustic emission events on the mechanism of action was verified
