First, the origin of the problem Globalization has become a hot word since the end of the 20th century, but it is not necessarily related to social work. Local needs require local response, adapted to local culture. However, globalization is a fact that affects all aspects of society as a whole. The economic implications of globalization include the following four key points: the flow of production from developed countries to developing countries; the expansion of transnational corporations around the world and the promotion of their power; the liberalization of the international financial system; and the reduction of transportation costs.
