Objective To detect the percentages of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells (Tregs) in peripheral blood of patients with Helicobacter pylori (H.pylori) -positive gastric diseases and the effect of transforming growth factor-β1 , TGF-β1) levels of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells in H.pylori infection in immune regulation and its significance. Methods The levels of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells in peripheral blood of patients with chronic superficial gastritis, gastric precancerous lesions and gastric cancer with H.pylori infection and the percentage of FOXP3 expressing cells in CD4 + CD25 + T cells were detected by flow cytometry. ELISA method was used to detect the serum levels of TGF-β1 in H.pylori-infected patients, and patients without H.pylori infection were used as negative control. Results The percentage of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells and the level of TGF-β1 in peripheral blood of H.pylori-infected patients were significantly higher than those in H.pylori-infected patients (P <0.05). H.pylori infection Of superficial gastritis, gastric precancerous lesions and gastric cancer patients with CD4 + CD25 + T lymphocyte percentage and the percentage of cells expressing CD4 + CD25 + T cells FOXP3 gradually increased with the severity of the disease, the difference (P <0.05). The serum levels of TGF-β1 in patients with H.pylori infection also increased with the progression of the severity of the disease, the difference was statistically significant (P <0.05). Conclusions H.pylori infection can increase the content of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells and the level of TGF-β1. As the severity of the disease progresses, the content of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells and the level of TGF-β1 gradually increase, The percentage of CD4 + CD25 + regulatory T cells and the level of TGF-β1 can be used as indexes to judge the progress of the disease.
