Chinese Vice President Wang Qishan met Philippine Foreign Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano in Beijing on March 23 and called for enhanced high-level exchange and pragmatic cooperation.
Wang said that with the guidance of the heads of state of the two countries， the relationship between China and the Philippines has consolidated and deepened. In the new year， the two sides should continue to work together and plan their relations from a strategic height and long-term perspective.
Cayetano expressed congratulations on the convening of the annual two sessions， remarking that the Philippines is willing to work with China to promote the development of Philippine-Chinese relations.
