The 10th National Symposium on Comparative Studies of English and Chinese in China will be held on September 21-24, 2012 in Wuhan University. This seminar is sponsored by China-UK Comparative Studies Association and hosted by School of Foreign Languages, Wuhan University. I. Theme of the Conference: Globalization and Consciousness of Language and Culture (1) Contrastive Linguistics Research The contemporary linguistic theory is compared with that of English and Chinese, with a comparative study of the history of English and Chinese languages and cultures, a new approach to Chinese comparative studies, a new perspective, Chinese uniqueness research, comparative study of English and Chinese, bilingual acquisition and bilingual sentence processing.
