In late September 1979, Comrade Yu Peiyu, Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, collected a batch of Sagra femorata purpurea Lichtenstein larvae from the tiger beetle in Jiulianshan, Longnan County, Jiangxi Province.
