Objective To investigate the expression of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and cell adhesion molecule CD15 in osteosarcoma and its significance. Methods By consulting a large number of literatures, the relationship between VEGF and CD15 and the role of both in the treatment of osteosarcoma and clinical research progress made a comprehensive analysis and evaluation. Results VEGF was closely related to the occurrence of osteosarcoma, but there was still controversy with the metastasis of osteosarcoma. However, there was a close relationship between the expression of CD15 and tumor metastasis. In particular, the presence or absence of high expression of VEGF and CD15 in patients with metastatic osteosarcoma remains to be further confirmed. It is possible through the study of VEGF and CD15 to develop new clinical drugs to improve the survival rate of patients with highly malignant osteosarcoma and make an effective assessment of the prognosis of patients. Conclusion Through the experimental study of VEGF and CD15, it is possible to find a new gene therapy target for osteosarcoma.
