专门用途英语(English for Specific Purposes,简称为ESP)是应用语言学的一个分支,而商务英语(Business English)是专门用途英语的重要组成部分。近年来,中国对外贸易蓬勃发展,商务英语随之成为热点,而由于其成立较晚,虽在商务英语教学研究方面已有众多研究成果,商务英语学习方法的研究仍然缺乏。鉴于此现状,该文在探讨专门用途英语理论和相关研究的基础上展开对商务英语学习目标的解读,并在此基础上提出了两种学习模式:组块理论指导下的记忆方式;合作学习与持续性交际法,以期改善当代商务英语学习者的学习困境。
English for Specific Purposes (ESP) is a branch of applied linguistics, and Business English is an important part of ESP. In recent years, with the rapid development of China’s foreign trade, Business English has become a hot spot. However, due to its late establishment, there have been many research achievements in business English teaching and research, and there is still a lack of research on business English learning methods. In view of this status quo, this article explores the objectives of business English learning based on the study of English for Specific Purposes and related studies. Based on this, we propose two learning modes: the memory mode guided by the chunk theory, the cooperative learning And continuous communicative approach with a view to improving the study predicament of contemporary business English learners.
