中国传统音乐基础理论课程的开设是建立“以中华文化为母语”的中国音乐教育体系的一个重要组成部分,而教材建设又是开设课程的先决条件。杜亚雄先生从20世纪80年代就开始关注并研究中国民族(传统)乐理,近20年间,杜亚雄用中、英文分别出版了《中国民族基本乐理》(中国文联出版公司1995)、《中国基本乐理及其文化背景》(美国印地安那大学1999)、《中国乐理常识》(北岳文艺出版社1999)、《中国传统乐理教程》(上海音乐出版社2004),以及新近的《中国乐理》(上海音乐学院出版社2007,与秦德祥合作)一个系列的五本专著、教材。
The establishment of the basic theory of traditional Chinese music courses is an important part of establishing a Chinese music education system that uses “Chinese culture as the mother tongue.” The construction of teaching materials is a prerequisite for setting up a course.
