通常的观点认为：在高温的工业环境当中,对诸如以太网交换机等电子设备采用自然对流冷却(通过散热器和其它被动散热手段)是显而易见的选择。用一位权威人士的话来说,无风扇电子系统能够在重要盒层级(box level)提供“固态系统固有的可靠性”。但是,通常的观点也许是错误的。
The usual wisdom is that in high-temperature industrial environments, natural convection cooling (via heat sinks and other passive cooling) is an obvious choice for electronic devices such as Ethernet switches. In the words of an authoritative person, fanless electronic systems offer the “inherent reliability of solid state systems” at important box levels. However, the usual view may be wrong.
