不久前某报刊发了罗昌爱同志《“根雕热”的隐忧》的文章。拜读之后,实在迷惑不解。罗昌爱同志认为根雕热“使人类宝贵的绿色王国受到了巨大的伤害”。指责根雕爱好者“把眼睛盯在未成年的幼苗小树上”,还说“根雕者之举,实实在在是‘斩草除根’,给大地留下了难以弥补的伤痕”云云。因此他提出“请根雕、盆景艺术家和业余爱好者们冷静一下,为‘根雕热’和‘盆景热’降降温吧!”在这里,我们对罗昌爱同志那种让“绿色生命焕发出内在的自然之美”的心情表示由衷支持和理解,但对他关于根雕艺术取材的无知甚为遗憾。考虑到罗同志所发表的种种议论,可能在客观上会伤害根雕爱好者的积极性,使刚刚兴起的“根雕热”冷却下去,故有必要明辨是
