90年代的NBA是属于乔丹和公牛队的,而从1984年之后,篮球鞋领域则属于NIKE。以一人之力支撑起整个品牌,并最终造就该品牌在篮球鞋领域的领袖地位,乔丹的影响力可谓旷古未有。而乔丹对于篮球鞋领域的贡献远不及此,1997年Jordan Brand应运而生。作为NIKE旗下的子品牌,Air Jordan开创了以某位球星专属鞋款打造team鞋款的先河。从此之后,拥有team鞋款的超级巨星就与拥有签名鞋款的一流巨星拉开了距离,team鞋款也成为了球星身份的象征。安东尼成为Jordan Brand最佳代言人。
