Comrades: On the occasion of the 1997 National Commodity Circulation Work Conference, I would like to extend my cordial greetings to all the representatives who attended the meeting and to all the cadres and workers who work in the circulation of commodities across the country. The internal trade department in charge of social commodity circulation and commodity circulation have a bearing on the overall national economic development. Over the past few years, you have made the fundamental purpose of serving the people’s livelihood and production and construction services the work of circulation of commodities, and have made important contributions to prospering the domestic market and curbing inflation.
