【Abstract】When it comes to health issues， no one can deny that there is an increasing number of elderly individuals worldwide，the topic of how to properly take care of elderly people in China garners wide public attention. I worked as a volunteer in a homecare company in US， so I am very interested in a program in China that provides an excellent platform for elderly people spending their twilight years.

In order to achieve the goal of improving the quality life for of elderly people， a prerequisite is a living in retirement community since the retirement community provides a special environment and a platform for elderly people to access comprehensive service. To be more detailed， the retirement community includes multiple elements， such as a dining center offering balanced nutrients， healthy food choices， a Gym with moderate exercise， and a leisure center providing shows and songs. Additionally， there are other social programs which are specific for elderly people： a tour bus taking them to visit spots outside the community and a clinic center to check their body. Obviously， the retirement communities have nutritionists， nurses， and other relevant employees in charge of their own field tasks to ensure the program’s success. The first objective for this program is to keep elderly individuals living in the community in a good healthy condition. To accomplish this objective， offering balanced nutritive food and doing moderate exercises are necessary components. When they first move into the community， every elderly individual has to complete background forms related to their favorite foods， medical conditions including doctor check-up reports， and other vital information. With this basic information， nutritionists will provide a food menu designed to respond both to their current health condition and to their preferred food list.
This will allow every elderly individual to easily access his or her constructed diet. To satisfy their multiple tastes and increase their comfort， we offer similar-tasting yet more nutritious foods for them to eat. Based on their initial health condition， instructors design suitable exercise for them to keep their health and to be stronger， such as climb stairs， walking around the yard， playing sports games and sometimes dance a little bit， depending on their personal preference. Under this condition， it is essential to supervise them eating the healthy diet and doing exercise to make sure that they are in a good condition. As a result， established archives with files for each person will record the details of their diet and exercise program. Also， and doctors and nurses will check vital information such as blood pressure， body temperature， BMI， and other fundamental signs each month. Therefore， they end up analyzing and assessing the program regarding health conditions for elderly individuals each month. Secondly， the objective of the program is to make elderly people enjoy their time and be in a good mood when they live in the retirement community. Employees take them on a tour bus to visit other interesting spot to make them enjoy their leisure every week. In addition， showing various shows， movies， drama， and concerts once to twice for elderly individuals in the retirement community to facilitate enjoyment. On top of that， there are several celebrated events in the community， hence elderly people are able to participate in these events. Consequently， elderly people do not feel bored and lonely there. Their old age is spent in a meaningful and interesting way. To ensure these people have a good time in the special community， elderly people have to complete a survey regarding their degree of satisfaction every month， and we should take photos for elderly individuals during touring and celebrated events not only to remember these moments but also to use in evaluation of how many elders are attending.
In conclusion， the program is a professionally designed retirement community for elderly people to spend their years with health and happiness. The community is comprehensive system， elderly people would have a comfortable， healthy， and attractive environment to spend their time after they retired.
