乾嘉之际,著名诗人洪亮吉、张问陶竞气于辇毂,其诗作流露出“流利轻巧”、“不矜格调”的共同倾向,深刻影响了当时辇下诗坛的风气。前人片面关注洪氏诗风的变化,认为其深受张诗影响。笔者通过考察认为,张、洪订交后诗风发生的明显变化与他们生存状态的戏剧性改变密切相关,而主导他们诗学交流的恰是洪亮吉本人。一方面,在张问陶诗艺演进的历程中,洪氏不失为一个对其产生了重要影响的人物;另一方面,张氏作为一个有自觉艺术追求的杰出诗人,对这种影响也有一个反省和扬弃的过程。
