On the third day of his visit to Beijing Hospital, he went to visit Comrade Huang Zhong. He was 80 years old and was extremely skinny. However, his spirit was still a bit reddish on his face. He was very pleased to see me, sit up and take a firm handshake, said: “Let’s see one side less ah!” His illness has not been diagnosed, I think always good. Did not think this is actually the last time to meet. Huang Zhong was an old revolution to Yan’an from the early days of the Anti-Japanese War and was a former deputy director of the State Sports Commission, making a significant contribution to the creation of a new China’s sports career. His name was in harmony with Huang Zhong of the Three Kingdoms, and many of the members of the Sports Commission system affectionately called him Lao Huang. In the early days of the 1950s, I had worked under his direct leadership.
